Mrs. Nancy WOOD- DALRYMPLE is still in Lumpkin Co. for 1850 census, living in the Jeremiah "Jerry" and Margaret PAYNE household. Jeremiah was born 1808 SC. We have mtDNA test results HVR1 and HVR2 on file at FamilyTreeDNA and mitosearch and go up her female-only direct line to Dicey WOOD and thus, Mrs. Nancy WOOD-DALRYMPLE. It can be used in the future to help determine if Nancy was the only wife of John Storey WOOD, Sr. Also, there has also been some confusion as to whether Mrs. Sarah BRUCE was a HOOD or a WOOD because of different transcribed versions of the Habersham Co., GA marriage records. Dicey's mtDNA would help resolve this confusion if one of Sarah's direct female descendants wants to be tested.
