The Dothan Eagle, Tuesday Afternoon, August 24, 1943
        Wiley R. Collins, sixty, Dothan policeman, died at his home, 301
North Edgewood Drive, yesterday afternoon at 4 p.m. of a heart attack
following a short illness.  Eddie Tindell was an hon. pallbearer.

NEWTON - Horace Lee, 79, of Newton Rt. 1, died Monday afternoon in a Dothan
hospital following a brief illness.
        Funeral services for Mr. Lee will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the
Piney Grove Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Terry Summerlin
officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ward-Wilson
Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.  Full military rites will be conducted
at the gravesite.
        The body will be at the funeral home until one hour prior to service
time, when it will be placed in the church.  The family will be at the
Clarence Lee home on Newton Rt. 1 - US Hwy. 84.
        A native of Houston County, he resided in the Wicksburg area during
his early life.  He then entered the US Army and served 31 years in the
service prior to his retirement in 1959.  At the time of his retirement he
was a master sergeant.  He attended the Piney Grove Assembly of God Church.
        Survivors include two brothers, Clarence Lee of Newton Rt. 1 and
Espy Lee of Jay, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Ard of Warner Robins, Ga.;
and Mrs. Lessie Tindall of Thomaston, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
(Did Horace Lee ever marry and have children?  Who were his parents, and his
Lee grandparents?  My grandmother Fowler's maiden name was Lee.  Her father
was Timothy Cuthbert Lee II, however, Horace Lee does not descend from him.)

 William B. Tindall died of dropsy in Madison co., Fla., on 15th Nov 1870, in the 57th year of his age.
 He was a native Georgian, lived long in Columbia co., and for many years in Oxford and its vicinity. J.

Mildred Tindell, 83, a lifetime resident of Estancia, NM passed away Monday, December 21, 1998. She was born January 9, 1915 in Torrance County, NM to Bob and Jessie (Kissinger) Garland. She married Albert Tindell November 25, 1933 in Estancia, who preceded her in death September 5, 1984. Ms. Tindell was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She will truly be missed by her family and the many friends she had. Survivors include her five sons and four daughters-in-law, Harvey and Ellen Tindell of Nogal, NM, Gene and Carole Tindell of Tijeras, NM, Alton and Julie Tindell of Willard, NM, Dale Tindell of Albuquerque, NM, and Jerry and Pauline Tindell also of Albuquerque; two brothers, Virgil Garland and his wife, Jan of Los Lunas, NM, and Julius"Whitey" Garland also of Los Lunas; one sister, Pearl Dressler of Mountainair, NM; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services for Ms. Tindell will be held on December 23, 1998 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Estancia, where she was a member, with Albert Hagen officiating. Burial will follow at the Garland Cemetery with"Grandsons" Larry, Ronnie, Bryan, Chris, Lee, Danny, and Greg Tindell serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary of Moriarty, NM.

Linnie Riddle     

LEVELLAND (Special) - Services for Linnie Riddle, 64, of Haskell will be at  2 p.m. today in Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Syl Moore, pastor,officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors. She died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at her residence.  She was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Jacksonville. She moved to Sundown from Whiteface in the 1960s. She moved to Haskell in 1987. She married Travis Riddle on April 29, 1952, in Lovington, N.M. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Don of Levelland and Terry of Smyer; a daughter, Linda of Levelland; five sisters, Leasy Jo Rinaldi and Paula Snider, both of Lubbock, Opal Cooper and Helen Bell, both of  Levelland, and Connie Schultz of Dallas; four brothers, Troy Tindel of Commerce, James Tindel and Benny Tindel, both of Levelland, and Johnny  Tindel of Jefferson City, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and a
great-granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

TINDELL - Margaret Nichols Tindell, 89, died December 26, 1997 in a local hospital after a brief illness. Born in Salem, IL, she was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and member of San Jose Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Charles Tindell, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Monday, December 29, 1997 in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 4115 Hendricks Ave. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 3:00PM Sunday at the funeral home.

TINDOL - Ailene Tindol, age 72, Jacksonville, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2000 in Vencor of North Florida, Green Cove Springs, Florida. Mrs. Tindol was a homemaker and attended Evangelical Temple, Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her sons, Terry Cartledge, Kissimmee, FL, Jack Cartledge, Lancaster, SC and a long standing friend, Henry LeRoy Horvlin, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM 5:00 PM Saturday, May 27, 2000 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, Northside Chapel, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL. Mrs., Tindol will be laid to rest in Southern Alabama.
