Harris THOMPSON
1793 - 1883
Greensville Co., VA --> Kershaw Dist., SC --->Henry Co., AL
--->Pike Co., AL --->Macon Co., AL and lastly, Ridgely, Bullock Co., AL

Harris THOMPSON was born 1793 in Greensville Co. or Southampton Co., VA the only child of Lodervick THOMPSON and Delilah WOMACK.  It is assumed that Delilah died in childbirth with Harris inasmuch as her father, Thomas WOMACK b. 1726, cites only Harris (as an heir) and Lodervick THOMPSON (as Harris' father)  in his Will dated Jan 26, 1794 that was probated in April 9, 1795 Southampton Co., VA.

Lodervick (sometimes referred to as Lodowick; however Lodervick is an English surname which is more likely) relocated to Kershaw Dist., SC and remarried to Priscilla RIVES.  They had 13 children.  Who actually raised Harris I don't know yet.  However, he may have stayed with his father and Priscilla.  Harris is found on the census records beginning in 1820:
